Millers’ on Main is proud to announce its Summer 2024 art class schedule, featuring its Watercolor Academy meeting every Tuesday to promote study, understand, and appreciation of the watercolor medium.
Open to both beginners and intermediate watercolorists. Sign up and attend all the courses or pick and choose that are of interest. All art supplies and materials provided. Monday Evenings Millers’ is also proud to present non-art classes and non-watercolor classes. Check the schedule regularly. More classes coming in August.
Classes need at least 8 students to run.
Introduction to the world of terrariums. Make three terrariums: traditional, succulent, and forest moss garden. All supplies are furnished. Instructor: Millers's Staff.
Introduction to watercolors (beginners-intermediate). Learn about the basics of watercolor painting. Get a better understanding of the different paints, papers, brushes, and how to move watercolor paint naturally to form abstract Adirondack landscapes and scenes. Participants will complete three basic paintings ready for framing! No materials or supplies need, all will be furnished. Instructor: Millers’ Staff

The three-wash watercolor method. Instruction on the basic three wash method of building comprehensive watercolor paintings (beginners-intermediate). Paint three Adirondacks scenes using this sound-proof method. All supplies and materials provided. Instructor: Millers’ Staff

Using the white of your paper. Instruction on how to use reserve the white of the watercolor paper to show highlights and dramatically increase interest in your watercolor paintings. Participants will complete three paintings. All supplies and materials provided. Instructor: Millers’ Staff
Terrarium II
Making Fairy Garden Terrariums and unique terrariums. Instruction on how to make a fairy garden terrarium and other specialty terrariums in small unique bottles. All supplies are furnished. Instructor: Millers’ Staff
Breaking down the experts:
A deconstruction and close examination of a nationally recognized watercolor artist. Lecture, followed by art instruction. $60 fee. Bring a notebook. All art materials or supplies will be furnished. Instructor: Millers’ Staff
If 8 students do not sign up for a particular class, other registrants will be notified.
